The Opera
Company of Philadelphia wishes to thank all who participated
in past seasons and in the shows so far this season! The Company
really appreciates the time and talent you dedicate to each show.
If you find yourself yearning to be a part of future productions, please fill out an application, or send e-mail to prioleau@operaphila.org. The Company is always delighted to get to know prospective supers and is very grateful for their interest. Supernumeraries who are chosen to be in the cast for a show are usually asked to come to rehearsals for the three or four weeks before the first performance takes place. Most of the rehearsals will be in the evenings, or on weekend afternoons. There are, however, usually at least one or two rehearsals that are held on weekday afternoons. Not all supers are asked to attend all rehearsals; if you are not in the scene that is being rehearsed, you will be excused (though you can usually hang around and watch if you are an inveterate opera addict!) The rest of the 2007-2008 season looks to offer many more chances for our supers to shine --- keep checking this space for more details as they become available. |
